1965 Lotus Elan S2 Given to me by my old college buddy Mark He bought it while we were in college back in 1973. I actually rode in this car to VIR in 1974! Hasn't run since 1982 and has been sitting outside, covered up most of that time, up in Virginia Too bad there is no room for a BMW M10 engine in there I know how to work on those :)
Brooke and I are going to partner on this one
Brooke has done all of the work today, and he has been busy, cleaning out the car and stripping it out Last week he got a few of our BMW friends to help lift the body off the frame. Brooke is doing body, interior and electrical (wheeee !!!) and I am going to do frame, suspension and running gear.
Brooke asked me to look at the seats to see if they could be saved. Hmm.........think not! Time has taken its toll on Colins

My first 02!
I reacquired my very first 02 about 3 years ago I sold it in 1992 with 350,000 miles on it to a young man who my Dad helped restore it again for the 4th time. That young man also became smitten with BMWs and works with them to this day. Anyway after storing it for three years I brought it home and looked it over. Alas, the left front of the car is way too rusty for practical repair, so I am going to make a party trailer out of it for the 02 Group.
